Elastomeric (SBS) Bituminous Membranes

The addition of elastomeric resins (SBS) creates a highly elastic mixture that has greater resistance to low temperatures. Elastomeric membranes have low resistance to ultraviolet radiation, so a coating is necessary if used as a final water-proofing layer. They can withstand temperatures of up to 110 °C. They are applied by using a welding torch.
